Overview

SHOULD THERE BE A SET OF RULES GOVERNING THE WAY ONE BEHAVES IN CYBERSPACE???!!! The answer is yes there should! Like in life people need to adhere to a certain set of standards, otherwise cyberspace would be pure madness. "Netiquette" the shortened form of "Network Etiquette'' has been used since 1983 to describe the rules one should exhibit while in cyberspace. Virginia Shea author of the book "Netiquette" lays out the core rules of the behavior on the world wide web (http://www.albion.com/netiquette/corerules.html Theses rules can be both behavior based, like remembering privacy restrictions, to writing in all caps, or technological, like not including spam or flamewars. Before a person goes rampant on the internet they should brush up on their netiquette.
